Mr. Kinney received his Black Belt in 1969 and began his first school in Maryland in 1972. He relocated to Florida in 1980 and founded Kinney Karate in St. Petersburg. He has been a leading coach and instructor of hundreds of nationally ranked Martial Arts competitors and was one of the first instructors that taught the Mixed Martial Arts of Ju-Jitsu, Aikido, Modern Arnis and Korean Karate to a large base of students. Thousands of Black Belts have spread Kinney Karate worldwide. He has been inducted into the EUSA International Black Belt Hall of Fame and has been featured in major magazines and television shows. He is a popular seminar instructor and directs 8 schools in Pinellas County, Florida.
