Basic Wrist Releases-featuring Michael Kinney
This video features basic defensive techniques used to escape from wrist attacks. The grabbing of a wrist is often used to control a victim in several stages of attack. Learning to defend against wrist attacks is an important step in learning more advanced Ju-Jitsu, Aikido, and Hapkido skills. This video was produced in the early 90′s as a segment of “Kinney Karate World” featuring internationally recognized Black Belt Michael Kinney.

Martial Arts Tournament Point Sparring Rules
This video instructs students on basic tournament sparring rules for Point Karate tournaments. Point fighting teaches control and timing and usually prohibits head or face contact in divisions under Black Belt. Black Belts usually are permitted to use light contact with controlled techniques. Point Karate promotes quality techniques and safety. Hundreds of Kinney Karate students have ranked in State or National NASKA and FAME events. Rules may vary depending on the league or tournament.
