Karate for Kids

Kids Love Kinney Karate

Our program offers instruction for children starting at age 4/Pre-K through Middle School. Parents wishing to join class may train with their children or choose other class times or locations.

Small groups, focusing on age and ability level, work within a larger group to learn respect, self-control, concentration skills, personal fitness, and coordination. Students at Kinney Karate learn and develop skills at their own pace.

Kinney Karate is an award-winning, internationally known Martial Arts school offering world-class instruction in St. Petersburg, Florida. Our instructors are excellent role models and mentors for children and young adults.

You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars a month at a commercial school. Kinney Karate offers instruction in state-of-the-art recreation centers, and is sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg Recreation Department.

We take the instruction of your child seriously. Students learn how to think first, and are taught self-confidence with a time-proven method of positive reinforcement.

All instructors started their instruction in our school and most have family members that achieved Black Belts. All instructors are certified, and have passed background checks with rigid standards (unlike most commercial schools that have no state or city licensing standards of operation). All instructors have been inducted into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
